There is a lot more Fake Handbags today than there was say fifty years ago. In our grandparents' generation "dressing up" meant wearing some new clothes made from the finest cotton. Mind you there was not much choice for material beyond cotton and silk, let alone anything called designer clothes! By the time our parents were growing up the world began to enjoy tweed, corduroy and some mixed textiles. They also became acquainted with pioneer designers in the field of clothing and apparel. Our generation has seen designer fashion really coming alive with there being a Fake Handbag or brand for just about anything. One of the foremost fashion accessories today are purses. Have you ever considered buying wholesale fashion purses and Designer inspired purses?longgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17588180289785941023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5382816224610988438.post-65311140892896623212010-01-07T20:55:11.000-05:002010-01-07T20:55:11.000-05:00I got married at 35 to a divorced man with 3 kids....I got married at 35 to a divorced man with 3 kids. So I had the under $100 dress that was tea length (copied a girlfriend who did that). I am a social dance teacher and I'd be damned if I had some long dress to drag on the dance floor or have it busseled up my backside all night. Everything else was traditional for the mid-west and we didn't spend a lot of money. My high school best friend's mom gave me a wedding cake as a gift--it was the best too....Renate Hunterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04682570285796718756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5382816224610988438.post-79800124147291576272010-01-07T11:11:49.768-05:002010-01-07T11:11:49.768-05:00This made me laugh!! My dress was actually a prom dress (it also came in purple!) that was beautifully simple, lightweight, and cost under $100! I did NOT want to figure out how to decorate the basketball hoop in the gym at the church, so we had it outside in the pavillion area and had a catered BBQ (I had also "helped" in the kitchen with many weddings and didn't want my friends or family to have to work too hard). I had no wedding line and everyone came in casual clothes (I had that printed on the announcement). We bought a badminton set, soccer balls, croquet set, and other outside games for the kids to do on the lawn. Non-traditional can be great!! But we did still have a cake!! Hope everything goes well!Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04087106981792142894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5382816224610988438.post-10827275769744831092010-01-06T12:35:47.585-05:002010-01-06T12:35:47.585-05:00Academia needs more bling anyhow! My brother just got engaged as well (his 2nd marriage, her 1st). They are both in their late 30s and are opting for a family only wedding (no friends, the horror) in my parents backyard. They did ask my 3 yr old son to be the ringbearer though so they are not foregoing all tradition. I can only hope there will be cake and a wedding dress!Gingerbreadmamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16372981390757223975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5382816224610988438.post-69625218840059263362010-01-05T14:05:59.858-05:002010-01-05T14:05:59.858-05:00And then someday she will wear the "Meanest M...And then someday she will wear the "Meanest Mom" title.

Is she opposed to tiaras?A Musing Motherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12395701326660695260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5382816224610988438.post-4262210169616409872010-01-05T13:06:23.947-05:002010-01-05T13:06:23.947-05:00Congrats to your sister!
