Savviest Mom Mock Facebook Page

Check out this mock Facebook page which is featured in the current print issue of Parent & Child Magazine! (double click on the below image to make it larger)

The page was a blast to create and the peeps at Scholastic are always fun to work with; they have a great sense of humor in large part because they are, after all, parents of young children themselves.

To understand the humor behind the Facebook page, you'll need to A) know what Facebook is B) read THIS SERIES OF 'Savvy Mom 2010'ARTICLES. FYI: One of the articles is written by my favorite self-help financial guru: Suze Orman. I like her teeth. And her bangle bracelets.

  1. How fun! Very clever. I think I will start the all yellow diet. Luckily, that will include the lemon cheesecake on the menu for a birthday at our house. I wonder if it will make my blond hair come back if I stick with it long enough.

  3. LOL! I especially like the part about the valentines b/c it is SO TRUE - just spend two minutes buying them and pay the $1.99. All the kids care about is the candy attached anyway!! I also related to "helping the teachers improve their lesson plans" I think this mom is at my kid's school! Thanks for the laugh :)

  9. LOL!!! I have wanted to make a fake 20-something single LDS girl Facebook page. . . . complete with lots of photos of me strategically tagged in cool locations with hot guys, tons of groups for friends' weddings, and sappy status updates expressing affection for my boyfriend/roommates/American Idol favorites.

  10. By the way, people, if you're a history buff, check out the fake John Adams FB page. If I had older students, I'd totally make them do this. It's worth a laugh! http://ow.ly/13dZu
