Christmas Eve

Sad

We're having friends from the city up for Christmas Eve dinner. In anticipation of their arrival, I asked my kids to clean the playroom.

"Every single thing in this room has to be clean before you can come out," I said while closing the door."

My kids took my instructions literally and dipped every single crayon we own into a bottle of Purell.

Double Sad

I put two cakes on the stove top to cool before frosting. My cat got to them before I did.

Merry Christmas Eve

Hahahahhaaaaa! I'd eat the cake anyway, but I'm like that.

We're cleaning today too- I'll hide any Purell before we start!

See, I told you, you should have wrapped the cat for the unboyfriend. Off to clean the playroom now.

At least you know your crayons are germ free now.

That's actually kind of cute. A little letter of the law, but cute. :)

Eh. Frost over the spot on the cake and nobody will know the difference.

Too cute about the crayons. AndI second the vote to frost the cake...

Merry Christmas!

I'm gonna have to "third" the frost over the cake idea. But shortly after everyone was done eating it I would have to tell them what had happened... I'm just fun that way. It makes eating over at my house more of an adventure. :)

Nothing a little frosting can't hide!

I have a kitty that does those maddening things to me as well. I can be unpacking groceries and leave a package of english muffins on the counter to put something in the frig...and come back to a hole gnawed thru the plastic and a hole in the top of the nearest muffin!

Hope your guests enjoyed the cat-licked cake...

Wow, you're a better person than I...I would have just scraped off that bit of cake, frosted it before anyone saw what happened and moved on with my life. Merry Christmas to all! Maybe this is why nobody ever comes to stay with me for the holidays...
