I don't say this nearly enough.

Thank you so much for this reading this blog. Writing is pretty much the only outlet available to a person with no hand-eye coordination and limited social skills like myself, so I NEED this blog just as much as you like reading it.

I have no idea where the vast majority of you came from, but I am thrilled that you are here. Really! I laugh hysterically at your comments and have wept (in a good way) at some of your emails. Thank you SO MUCH for your support and encouragement. A big thanks goes out to all of you who added me to your blog roll, put a link button on your blog, and/or told friends and frenemies alike about The Meanest Mom.

Being a mom is, without a doubt, the hardest job on the planet. I love that you take the time each day to laugh with me...and at me!

Thanks!!!

My friend just told me about your blog yesterday and I'm already hooked. Ironically, she told me about it because I was telling her that I tell my kids everything 3 times and they tell me things 3 times also. Anyway, I can totally relate to your lack of hand/eye coordination and social skills and I truly enjoy your blog.

You are the best. I know I don't know you but I think of you throughout the day sometimes when I'm having a tough time with my son and then don't feel so alone. :)

That's all well and good, but what I really want is an actual cupcake.

Awwwwwww, you are so sweet! (And that cupcake looks mighty sweet, too!) I love, love, love reading your site (ooops, no pun intended on writing that three times), and I get all excited when I see there is a new post! I can't wait to see what new mis-adventures your family has!

Are you kidding? You've helped me realize that I need to laugh when I want to cry and to take a picture before I clean up the "scene of the supposed crime" commited by one of the kids! Thanks for the laughs and the encouragement.

Thank you. :) It's always fun to laugh at you..I mean, with you. The familiar things you write so well make it easier to laugh at myself.

I can't remember how I found your blog a few weeks back, but now I am hooked and I check in every day. Thanks for sharing a piece of your life with us!

Thank you! It is refreshing to read something funny without it being inappropriate or vulgar. It seems that nowadays it takes a real talent to be humorous. You ARE that talent. Its a pleasure!

I wish there was blogging when my kids were little. I think we might have had a much happier childhood.

At one point all three were on Ritalin or something else equally as disturbing. I had them all in the doctor's office for lab work. One sympathetic parent looked at me and asked how I handled it.

I very calmly told her I was sedated.

She thought I was joking.

No! THANK YOU!! You are absolutely right...THE hardest job on the planet. And I look forward everyday to getting the little buggers in bed and parking it in front of my computer for just a few minutes with my glass of wine to read your blog and laugh. Thank you for letting me laugh about this job. I tell everyone I know about you. I read your blogs aloud to my mom and husband whenever I can. SO many of your job related difficulties are mine as well! You are a regular source of entertainment here in our house. Better than TV any day. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. :-)
Sincerely,
The Allgood Household

It is my pleasure to read your blog every day.

Thank YOU for making me feel a little more normal when mommy life makes me feel insane. I only have one right now--seeing you have a sense of humor and keep rolling with the punches with your THREE kids gives me hope for my future. :)

I don't remember how I found you, but I'm glad I did!

You're like a good sale...I have to share! It wouldn't be fair to keep the chuckles all to myself.

Well, lovely Meanest Mom, I found you through my sister. Sherry V. in Durham--she says she knew you when you were at Duke and right after I had the Boy she told me to read your blog and I have been cracking up regularly since.

She misses you, by the way...I think she feels like the last of a dying breed, mean moms who aren't afraid to be mean moms. Who don't apologize for their parenting, who love their kids but aren't going to get all smooshy about it. So thank you! She doesn't make friends easily and I know that she counts you as one of hers.

My friend and I read your blog together everyday. Then laugh so hard, we can hardly breathe EVERYDAY! We need you as well. If you lived in our town, we would seek you out and make you our friend. (Hope that's not scary!) Thank you for your masterful writing that captures our daily life in a much more elegant manner than we could possibly try!

Awww, that's sweet. Now, where's my cupcake? Dude, photos don't fill tummies.

But seriously, thank YOU. For making me laugh, making me think, and making me feel thankful for being a mom, and for not being the only one who has "highs and lows" about being a mom. Now I owe you a cupcake, I guess.

Call it even?

Blogging is the stay-at-home mom's substitute for adult conversation. So thanks for talking. :) And you're welcome for "listening." It's a win-win situation as far as I can tell. A little laughing goes a long way on a bad day.

I love the cupcake too cute. I love this blog. I always laugh. Every. Single. Post. I didn't comment on the doctors one. lol. I used to do that all the time as a kid. I'm sure karma will bite me in the butt for that one!

No, thank YOU! I look forward every day to what you write:) I love hearing everything you and your kids do, not only just to get a wonderful laugh, but to let me know I'm not the only one feeling and experiencing what I am with my own 4 kids. Thanks for letting all of us get a laugh (and a cry sometimes) from your family's daily activities. Not only that, you're just hysterical and have a total gift for writing........thanks for sharing it all!
By the way, I'm a good friend of Janet's sister Linda, that's how I found you:)

Thank you! And I have been thinking about this, cuz we are best friends and all, have you ever thought about compiling all these daily blogs into a book?? I would by it in a heartbeat!

You are so awesome - and I can tell you, your writing does so much good for so many of us. I know that it takes some time for you to write everyday and it does not go unappreciated!! You are awesome - looking forward to more good times

I'm not a mom, and yours is the only Mommy blog I read. Not preachy or mushy or whiny; just the perfect mixture of love, exasperation, and sarcasm. I follow your blog obsessively--every single post makes me laugh. Thank you!

My daughter, Tess, was Amy's roommate their sophomore year at BYU, and she tuned me in to your blog. I'm a grandma, but I also have a 15 year old, who sometimes acts like a 5 year old, so I love reading about all of the antics that go on in your household. Thank you for making me mostly laugh and sometimes cry. I love it that you would thank your readers. That is true gratitude. THANK YOU!!!

I just want to say, I have been using the internet for several years and never once realized when you bookmark a blog, it wont send you to the updated page. I have been reading "Bye Bye Christmas" since the 31st of December.

I am happy everything is o.k. Now, I will continue on my meanest mom blog binge.
