So funny! I could have taken this same exact picture at our house today!

oh, now we just need to see the photo of the entire box of cereal dumped out on the floor... oh wait, that happened at my house. Great idea!!

Have to love the scissors! Now did they climb up to find bowls and is there milk all over the table?

Same thing as Becca over here. Cinnamon Life cereal is particularly nice dumped on the carpet, because of all the tiny sugar crystals on the inside of each and every piece. :D

Awesome. I have got to start taking more pictures at my house and see the humor in it.

Somehow, it reminds me of the one time Mom let us paint our own fingernails and toenails ... afterwards, she informed us that we would be waiting another 2 or 3 years before we were allowed to be independent again.

I think I was 4, and I thought I was being sooooo careful. I guess I'm glad she made us do it sitting on towels, because I can only imagine how bad it would have been if we were just on the carpet .....

We get similar results at school when the mice get into the snacks.

Very funny!

That's an awesome funny picture! But I don't see any hair chunks or blood, so it must have worked out well.

Makes me glad that yogurt is the breakfast preference over here.

At least it wasn't a whole box of cereal dumped on the carpet, and then what would carpet cereal be with out a whole galon of milk dumped on to it? It wouldn't be a stinky mess in the waiting for mommy to clean up just before it is time to walk out the door to go to church! That happened at my house. The week afterward I cleaned the carpet so many times because of the nasty rotten milk smell that I thought for sure it would finally wear a hole in it. It still smelled last year when we pulled up the carpet and put in hardwood floors. Yep, love the Sundays when I am running behind so the kids think they are going to "help" wink, wink!

So who are you more mad at: the kids or yourself?

I can't tell you how many times I come downstairs after I take a *second* for myself (sometimes just to answer nature's call) and wished I had never left them to their own devices.

Look on the bright side---now you can see exactly how much cereal is left in the box!

I could have that same thing happen and not be able to make it relevant in a blog. You are so awesome.

At least the boxes are somewhat still intact! :o)

At least your kids don't have new hair cuts!

One of my least favorite sounds ever in the whole world to hear while I'm taking a shower is the sound of a chair scraping across the kitchen floor...

because that means someone is getting food.

and there will be sixteen fruit snacks wrappers on the floor when i get out of the shower.

I'm not sure I see the problem? I'm totally kidding.

Be careful, they start with scissors and can graduate to craft knives. My son did this when he was 5 (he was cutting out a coupon on the back of a box) and ended up with 13 stitches. He is quite proud of his scar, but it scared me to deal at the time!

Best of luck with your crew. I think they will grow up with minimal damage with you as a mom.

what? You are actually allowed wash and to dry your hair in the morning? You shoucld not be surprised that they punish you ;)

Ha... seriously! But at our house the cereal is topped with candy, b/c that apparently makes it okay to eat candy for breakfast Mom!

That's when I find the barstool in the pantry and the scissors on the floor!

Maybe we should start blow drying in the kitchen! LOL Kidding.. that's nasty. I yell at my daughter all the time for just finding her hairbrush downstairs!!

I thought they were maybe just ravaging the boxes for the "boxtops for education" to turn in at school. That happened at my house.

My mom did that and my older brother put a can of chili in the oven on 500 degrees. but he was also the kid that put the cat in the dryer too. so I cant blame her and she always says at least her grey wasnt showing for the cute fireman.

I don't know, do you get comments on old blogs or will this fade away, unnoticed? No matter...my l'il story...my daughter (6) has to make a leprehcan catcher for school (sure, who doesn't?) and she got what she needed from the art cart in the house and I continued to do whatever I was doing, pleased to be "off the hook" .Duh. Ten minutes later, when the beagles came to me in the kitchen, eyelashes laced with glitter and their little black bodies positively shimmering, I knew that this independence thing had been a bad idea. Our whole house glitter now - pounds and pounds of glitter - it's a god damn mardi gras parade that will not stop. I didn't get any pictures but I"m sure I can in the future as the glitter is ELUSIVE and will not be contained, or gathered or vacuumed. That is because I didn't really try. I like glitter - it's not the worst problem and kind of decorates the mess around here.
loving your blog- catching up on the old ones.
am considering clothes in bed for the kids - is it wrong to GET ideas from your blog?
