Halloween Pictures

When I went to take pictures of my kids in their Halloween costumes on Saturday night, I found that my camera's memory card was full. Full of awesomeness.

These photos, plus an additional 87 pictures of monkey, serve as as the primary reason why I am reluctant to invest in a nice camera.

Be thankful this is just on digital! When my I was younger it was all film. I think my parents took a gamble every time they took film to get it developed, they were likely to find a bunch of awkward pictures of my brother's chin and the family car.

Hello- I have just stumbled across your site here and it is amazing! I love everything about it- I love that you are telling these stores as they happen. Anyway- I just read about Mason and it was deeply moving and I think it is gracious of you to offer that advertising opportunity. I am an Office Manager at a small business located in Bensalem, PA and I am going to do my best to get the owner to donate ( although it won't be a tough battle- he is always us for doing good )- I look forward to talking to you!

Back in the day before digital, there was always a surprise or two when I got my pictures back from developing! Pictures from every angle of a Lego creation or blurry pictures of the cat. Thanks for the laugh this morning!

oh, yes, my kids do the same thing, and it's usually a million pictures of their stuffed animals! I've seen a few gross ones, (like "let's take a picture of inside my nose!!"), and thats not so nice. I admit I do save a few of the good ones just to remember. (or blackmail them with in the future!)

Our daugther is the same way and we are definitely grateful it's all digital! We had to get a new camera recently and in an attempt to get her to keep her hands off it, found a really great deal on one of her own (my husband is amazing at finding online deals and got her one of those kid proof fisher price ones brand new in the box for $10!). Now we'll just have to wait and see if it works :)

Oh my gosh, this is great! I do have to say...monkeys do make a good picture subject! Great choice for the up and coming professional photographer!!

I have experienced the same thing when I have tried to download pictures from my camera and wondered why it took half an hour, only to look at all of the pics to realize that most of them were of the tv, an unmade bed, shoes on the floor etc. It always makes me laugh and I am always glad that I can choose which ones I want to download!

I still laugh when I think about the time my college roommate discovered that her younger brothers had gotten a hold of her camera. There were a few pictures of funny faces, but they had also had fun taking pictures of their boy parts.

I would totally forgive any kid who was a Duke fan.

Oh yes, my husband and I had a row (the British version sounds better than the truth: I yelled like a banshee) when I discovered the camera was out of the batteries three seconds before trick-or-treating. I did costumes, class party, candy-buying, his job was to check the camera. Sigh.

At least you got some good monkey photos! Who doesn't need more photos of monkeys?

I get pictures of the TV...while it's on...and then he gives me a verbal recount of what he was watching when he took the picture! It's usually a hockey game...LOL!

I cannot tell you how many times this has happened to me, and 3 cameras later, mind you.

Wow, looks like you have a budding Ansel Adams living in your house...

I have pictures of the same monkey at my house, does yours travel or is there more then one? :)

I once had at least 20 pictures of a flock of birds outside. And about a dozen of a blurry snake.

My daughter has a thing for elbows, knees, and especially bums. If I leave the camera unattended I'm bound to find a plethora of body parts pictured on it.

There's also been a number of times I've stumbled upon her snapping away at the neighbors backside. How am I supposed to explain that one?

My kids are obsessed with the camera. The culprit usually leaves clues, like pictures of their toes, or close ups of their nose etc...

That is hysterical!!! My kids aren't allowed near the camera yet - I hide it from them :p

Bizarre. These exact same photos are on our family camera. Only ours usually has several pictures of the toilet.

Your son's wearing a Duke sweatshirt-- so in my world all is forgiven!

This is my first time visiting your amazing site, but I'll be back. You *definitely* know what you're talking about!

Yep- I often find pictures like that on my camera, too. Pics of feet in sock and of belly buttons. I told hubby I am just glad there are no photos of "what is between" (yet!). And he laughed and said "just wait. there will be." With my 6 yr old- everyone is surprised there have not been! *grin*

Those photos are the reason why I keep my nice camera HIDDEN from my children! LOL And I bought my daughter her own so that helped :)

haha, I have a few hundred shots of that same monkey! Just like that, I swear! Some were in a crib, some are on the floor, but most are sitting on the chair!

My youngest son (10) does the very same thing, including very looooonnng and hilarious videos...they are such a treat to find, even if he does constantly fill up my memory card! :-)

Loved this post! I laughed and laughed, remembering the time my daughter catalogued our entire home for the purposes of selling it all on Ebay.

That looks like my memory card. Usually close ups of my daughter that look like mug shots. Or pictures of her eraser collection.
