Christmas Morning

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a display of ingratitude, brought to you this year by Cortlen, who liked what Santa brought everyone else much better than what the big guy brought him.

Merry Christmas!

Yep he is best friends with my children. Infact, they were all so unhappy that I had to send them on a walk just so that I could clean up and begin the dinner. Well, hope the rest of your day goes better.

LOL! This is absolutely hysterical! It won't be so funny when it happens to me though :-D

Ah, the ungrateful tears of a child on Christmas morning. We had a few of our own!

Somebody pass that boy some prozac. Quick! ;)

The depression is overwhelming.

LOL that's awesome, that is usually us but somehow this year Santa did an awesome job of getting everone equally likeable stuff.

Very cute, very familiar.
In my home each child gave a list of three "big" presents they wanted.
We got each all three, but apparently they all decided they wanted each others three and the ungrateful waterworks also began.

Ooooh, look at that face!! I'm sorry, ungrateful or not, hand that kid an i-pod.... ;)

What a terribly sad face! Even I feel bad for him - and my husband claims I have the coldest heart he has ever seen. I guess it was a good thing we prefaced Christmas morning with the words: " Feel free to exchange gifts amongst yourselves"

Merry Christmas

Oy. What did Santa bring him v. the others? My son has spent our Christmas "vacation" whining for candy canes. He also spent the afternoon whining for videos and trying to take toys from his baby sister. After all the presents had been open, he asked to open more. Somehow the absence of presents didn't sink in.

In our house the boys were fine with the gifts Santa gave. But between the 5 million calories of sugar consumed, the lack of a nap and the stress of the "big" day lots of tears were shed here too. (Unfortunately some by the adults!)

See I think these are parenting's golden moments. That's when you have to turn it around and say something like, "great now baby jesus fells bad, you better hope santa doesn't hear about this or you'll be off the list for good."

I threatened my 8yr old a few times this year, santa won't bring you any presents, I said. You know what he said?

But Grandma will.

He's got me there.

My reply to that would be, "Well maybe some kids in Africa could use a _____ or a ______."

This would be the reason why (as a seasoned mother of twins and a third close together myself) that I just make life easier and buy everyone the same gift. They will eventually learn to share ( mine are really great now--about 7 years ahead of you!) and be happy aboutit--- but it's not worth the stress meanwhile!

what was crazy for us this year is that the one moping about his christmas presents was also the one who got the gift that everyone wanted this year. including him. kids are just so unpredictable. or maybe i should have seen it coming . . .
