Believe it or not, these photos were taken at a Sears Portrait Studio in the mall! Armed with fancy new digital cameras and high-tech photo editing programs, your local Sears photographers are equipped to take some wonderfully gorgeous photos of your family....in a short period of time...in a convenient and familiar place...with minimal trauma to mother and child.
When we got our photographs taken last week, Cameron spit up on the photographer four times, Kellen wouldn't sit still, Cortlen wouldn't stop inquiring about the bag of candy in my purse, and Camber struggled mightily against the urge to clench her jaw into a bizarre forced smile. We moved into our new house a little over a year ago. I did 99.9% of the decorating. My husband had one little request....leave a space in the dining room for a family picture to hang. We have not had a family picture done since adding our baby girl to the clan. Be careful what you wish for! The last time my hubby and I took the kids to have our pictures done, our 2 year old daughter threw a fit complete with full body spasms and her signature banshee wail. As my husband carried her out to the car (still flailing and screaming) he passed a group of horrified-looking teens. The words of wisdom he passed on to them? "This is why you use birth control, kids." I am sure he terrified at least a few into abstinence :) But the pics turned out great!

I HEART Sears. I have an almost 3 year old autistic son and Sears worked really well with my baby. I stopped going there because the were tooo expensive for us. Between appointments, evals, and therapy sessions I miss a lot of work so I don't get the pays to be able to afford them. But I love them please consider me he needs his pics done again.
The hardest part would be making sure my child stayed clean for the whole ordeal, but free is always worth the attempt right?

I'll take free photos whenever I can get them...so much more rewarding. When I pay, I scrutinize them and say "Look, couldn't they have made me look more like Reese Witherspoon?" When they are free, I say "Hey! No boogers and everyone is looking at the camera!"

LOVe sears pics...we have had professional photographers that we are in love with too! But Sears took the most beautiful Baptism pictures of both my children who are now 4 & 5...Sears took the photo of my daughter, hands clapsed in prayer with the most beautiful expression! They had it up in their studio for almost a year! They are worth ever penny!

I get all of my family pictures done at Sears. I love that you can buy all of the high resolution pictures on a CD with the rights to print them out yourself. I would love to win this so I can get new family pictures done with my new baby Josephine. :)

As a newly single mom struggling to just make it from day to day, getting picures of my kids is just not an option right now. Sears photos rock! They've always done a fantastic job with my kids and the ladies who work there are so patient.
I'm a slacker mom who still hasn't taken her 18 month old in for his 12 month photos (well, in my defense he was learning to walk at 12 months and had bruises on his face and looked like I'd been beating him) so if I were to win, you'd allow me to go guilt free and get his photos done, thereby taking away 1 of the things for him to complain to his therapist about in the future regarding my mothering. *sigh*

I was just commenting to my husband last night that we needed to get our kids back in for pictures. I usually do it every January, but this year I was dealing with chemo and radiation so pictures were postponed. Here we are in August, I am better and my kids still are without a 2009 photo. Thanks for sharing the great photos Sears offers. I gave up on them years ago but, may have to try them again.
